If you want to consult a large number of volumes of a multi-volume publication with the same shelfmark (e.g. a series or a newspaper) directly in the stacks, it is possible to apply for a permission to enter the closed stacks in the book depot. You need to apply using the form below; if the application is granted, you can enter the closed stacks with a member of staff.
Note that the book depot is located in Paukerwerkstrasse 1, 1210 Wien, which can be reached with S-Bahn lines S1 and S2. You need at least 30 minutes to get there from Schottentor/University underground station.
